The season is approaching at a pace!

It all kicks off with two 20/20 Games apiece for the Senior and Senior A teams on the 6th of October. This is a historic first foray into 20/20 for Hamilton Cricket. (Ed. Suggestions that some Hamilton premier teams have been playing 20/20 for years are unhelpful and unnecessary.)

Here on the Blog you will find the draws for all three teams along with the rules for the new match formats. That is 20/20 and the One-Day 110 Over format.

On the training side, things have been going well down in the "White Room" at St Pauls. The nets there are certainly a lot brighter than those at Seddon Park, and the boys seem to be enjoying the change.

Trainings will continue at St Pauls Wednesday 7-9pm and Sundays 4-6pm until the start of the season on the 6th of October.

The board are working on some improvements to trainings at the club through new equipment for training, and signing up of a Coaching Co-Ordinator who will plan and run trainings. Stay tuned….

At the completion of all matches the team with the most points will be the winner of the Hampton Cup and if they do not already have a team competing in Senior A will earn the right to challenge the bottom placed team for promotion.

Any promotion/ relegation matches will be played on the 5th and 6th April and can be decided on a first innings result and will be played under Senior A Two Day Competition Rules.

07/08 Season Schedule.

The schedule this season is very different to previous years.

As you can see below, the season starts with 20/20. Then the One Day and Two Day cricket is all mixed in together.

Training Plans

All - we will be starting indoor trainings at St Pauls from Wednesday the 12th.

Trainings will be every Sunday and Wednesday from then on until the start of the season.

Times: Wednesday 7-9 and Sundays 4-6.
Venue St Pauls School new gym. This is by their #1 Pitch out the back of the school.

Please remember that the gym is brand-new so we will need to make sure we look after it so they will invite us back.

THIS SUNDAY we will have a run-around at the university. Meeting by the tennis courts, about 2:30. This is to co-incide with the AGM @ 1pm.
