Club Code Of Conduct

Hamilton Star University Cricket Club Code of Conduct

Code Of Conduct.
All Members and Players are expected to ensure that personal behavior and conduct associated with the playing of cricket is within the laws and spirit of the game.

Principle 1
Members and players shall not engage in conduct which brings the club or the game into disrepute. Inappropriate conduct includes, but is not limited to:

  • Intimidation, assault or attempting to intimidate or assault any umpire, player or spectator associated with a game.
  • Participating in a match while under the influence of Alcohol or Illegal Drugs.
  • Sustained dissent towards decisions by Team Captains or Officers of the club.
  • Repeated late withdrawal from games without a good and sufficient reason.
    Any other conduct deemed unbecoming by any member or player of the club

Principle 2
Members and Players must at all times respect the property of the club, club-mates and other players.

Process
Alleged breaches of the code of conduct should be reported in writing, to any member of the board. The report should be handed to a member of the board within 72 hours of any alleged incident occurring.

The board will attempt to consider and hear alleged breaches not more than 1 week after they are submitted.

If a member is found to have breached the code of conduct, the board may take one or more of the following actions:

  • Censure
  • Suspension
  • Termination of membership.
