Star Covers Itself in Glory

Friday night at the cricket turned out to be something of a triumph for the club.

The night started brilliantly with Billy surviving Chris Cairns and then pumping Bruce Martin for consecutive sixes over long on to finish his stint at the crease. (Don't know what I'm talking about? See the post below.)

Dan Vettori didn't get it going with the bat but showed plenty of class with the ball.

During the innings break Daryl "Gibbo" Gibbs was rung in to play with the Chiefs against the ND touch team. He got a nice new Chiefs shirt, and recieved best wishes for the Super 14 from numerous ND players.

During the game the defense seemed to collapse in Daryls vincity on occasions, but we're sure that was the professional rugby players fault.
