Bs Result Vs Suburbs (Nice One)

1-dayer vs Suburbs @ Steele Pk.
 
Star V won toss & elected to bat. Rocketing along at 200+ for 2 with 10 overs left, but in the end had to settle for 254 all out in the final over. Sean Mulcahy 91(opener, ran himself out in the final over trying to run a fourth, James Bailey 58, S Burbs 62 (extras!).
 
Suburbs, maximum 42 overs available after having 3 overs deducted for slow bowling effort (re-bowling wides?) - more could have been deducted, but we're nice guys.
210 all out - Steve Blackbourn 3/57, 2 wickets apiece for James Bailey & Hamish. Suburbs were always on target as per the required run rate but ran out of wickets. Special mention of a great caught & bowled by Gus Liley late in the piece to dismiss their top scoring batsman who looked as though he might carry them close to victory.
 
A good win over a side containing a challenging bowling attack & a couple of big hitting batsmen.
